We have always been honest with our customers; we have never had anything to hide.
In 2018 we started a collaboration with xFarm: the project was very ambitious: be the first Organic ExtraVirgin Olive Oil in the world traced with Blockchain technology.
To enhance such an important project, we needed a unique product: a product of our territory. We have chosen a 100% Ogliarola Garganica cultivated field and installed sensors in field and in mill that real time monitor what happens to our plants: the operations we perform, air temperature, soil moisture, wind, rain are just some of the parameters we trace.
We quickly became a 4.0 company: from the campaign notebook to processes, everything is under control now and documented. The entire supply chain, in line with the company's philosophy, is digitalized and operates in full respect of nature: from production to packaging, all phases are monitored and tracked with blockchain technology, the safest in the world for the consumer.
On each bottle of Ogliarola Garganica there is a QR code that tells the whole process that that bottle of oil has done before arriving on the table: a real identity card made available for the consumer.
Not only: monitoring what happens to our plants allows us to understand in time when and how we need to intervene, making significant savings in terms of time, water and energy as well as an improvement in product quality.
Our aim is to make the consumer aware of the processes related to the production of the Buondioli Organic Olive Oil: we dedicate a whole year to produce high quality Organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and it is right to put in direct contact those who consume it with those who produce it.
